Winding down time

Tony is delighted to discover that now he is retiring he gets 'winding down time'. He only worked 3 days this week and the next few weeks he only has to work 2 days each week. For  his final week he has to work one day. Unfortunately he's not feeling great today and is back on antibiotics. He's been curled up on the sofa all day. I left him in bed when I went out for my walk and he eventually surfaced at 10.30. That might actually be his normal getting up time once he retires as he definitely isn't an early bird. In fact I've always been convinced he was a sloth in a previous life

  1. How lovely for Tony to get that winding down time. Sorry to hear he's unwell again, poor bloke. If my husband didn't have to walk the dog in the mornings, no doubt he would have a lie in every day too!

    1. I don't mind him getting up later but he sits around in his pyjamas until I get annoyed and make him get dressed

  2. Congrats to Tony! Hopefully he will get his medical issues sorted and he'll be able to enjoy his retirement. How are you feeling about it? Do you think you'll go crazy with him home? Does he have lots of hobbies?

    1. In truth he's going to drive me crazy. He doesn't really have any hobbies or friends. I'm hoping he joins some groups and creates some

    1. He discovered too late that he could have started the winding down 14 weeks before he leaves.
