I think I'm over the hardest bit of the bug now and though I feel very weak I think I'm on the mend. I'm thanking my lucky stars that I made a huge lasagne and a pan of chilli on Monday just before the bug wiped me out completely. Tony is worse than useless when I'm ill so all he had to do was reheat the lasagne. Tuesday was my worst day and I haven't felt that ill in a very long time. Annoyingly I've had virtually no phone signal so have been without Internet a lot of the time. Daytime TV is utterly rubbish and I think I'll be having broadband installed in the new year. I managed a little walk around my veg plot today and had to smile when I saw the lettuce are all frozen solid. I don't know if they will recover but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. A five minute walk around the garden had me coughing and gasping for breath so I returned to the sofa and read and snoozed on and off for the rest of the day. Fingers crossed that this is the last bug I catch for a very long time. Thank you so much for your kind messages. I really do appreciate that you took the time . Xx
Oh, Cherie! That sounds awful. I had my horrible cough, but the rest of me felt just a bit tired- mostly from not being able to sleep. Your mind must have known what your body bwaa going to tell you when you planned for food ahead.
ReplyDeleteHi Sam. I think you are probably right.
DeleteOh dear. That's how my friend was. She contacted the RSV virus, and she couldn't stop coughing. I was relieved to hear that you had plenty of leftovers, already cooked. Isn't that a great feeling? I don't have tv, just HBO, Netflix, and Internet. I am happy as a clam with those...I hope you get Broadband. It's really worth it, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteIt's the cough that's the hardest part. I ache from coughing so hard.
DeleteThis bug, whatever it is, seems to have really knocked people for six. I do hope you feel properly better very soon, Cherie. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sooze. I can't remember when I last felt well. I'll be glad when I'm back to normal. X
DeleteThis is very good news. Please take care and continue to get well. Sending love. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy. It's very much appreciated. X
DeleteGlad you are improving but be careful, I had the same thing here in the US and it took16 days to clear out. Take care and rest. XXXXX
ReplyDeleteThanks Maureen. I think I picked up this bug before I'd got over the last one. Hopefully I'm on the mend now. Have a lovely weekend. X
DeleteNow I want you to promise not to overdo it as you start feeling better & maybe Tony should learn to do a bit more. I know I should push mine to cook, but he can only do baked beans on toast(giggle). We've proper i'net for keeping touch with family overseas, interstate & my brothers support workers & have a pay TV provider so we can watch our favourite English documentaries. Take care & look after yourself & big hugs from down under.
ReplyDeleteTony's middle name is Bone Idle... or maybe that's two names 🤔 unfortunately if I don't do it things don't get done. I'm only doing what I can manage though so please don't worry. Thank you for your kindness my friend. Xx
