Tony and I are carefully watching the weather as we are hoping to sell a load of plants at the local car boot sale tomorrow. Assuming of course that it will go ahead during this very sad time for our country and the wider world. It's hammered down yet again today but the forecast for tomorrow is okay so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will go ahead.
We've been for tea at our favourite pub this evening and were surprised and delighted when Alexander and Beckah joined us. Beckah is such a lovely girl and we couldn't wish for a nicer DIL. We're home and curled up on the sofa now. Tony with the TV and me with my laptop. I think I'll be having an early night though as I'm feeling very sleepy. If I snooze now I'll not sleep tonight so I'll have to watch something gripping to keep me awake.
I hope that the sale goes ahead. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you. We had a very lucrative day.
DeleteHope your Sunday shapes up well. Still wet, windy & cold here after such a long dreary winter, though there is plenty blooming, but some trees are losing petals quickly. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThankfully it was dry and not too hot and sunny today. I didn't want my plants to suffer sitting outdoors all day
DeleteI'm curious to learn protocol from the UK bloggers. Your lives still need to move on and I imagine something like a car boot is an essential money maker for some. It's nice having family together when it wasn't necessarily planned.
ReplyDeleteProtocol regarding what Sam?
DeleteSorry. I meant protocol after the passing of the Queen. Wait periods, transitions, days of mourning, what's the way respect is shown. I made an assumption that was the sad time you were referring to.
DeleteI'm not sure that there is a protocol. We've never faced this before. Many things have been cancelled and I feel so terribly sorry for our royal family. Every blink and movement is scrutinised at this time of huge personal sadness to them all.
