I've met myself coming backwards this morning. Kitchen and both bathrooms would dazzle you now... they wouldn't have before. I've had a bit of a planting out and potting on session and am stopping for a quick cuppa and an online catchup before tackling the conservatory. I've moved my avocado trees into the garage but may have been a bit premature as it's really warm outside today. I didn't bother with a coat and had to push my sleeves up to cool down when I went for a walk this morning. We've dropped back to walking at 07:30 as it's really getting gloomy at 07:00 and before we know it the morning won't get light until 08:00. That's a way off yet though so I am making the most of any nice days to get out in the garden. I've no idea where the heck I will put all the tomatoes as I grew far too many. The neighbours are probably sick to death of them too but I will be glad of them in the winter months. It's lovely to see my freezer full of home grown produce and will be smashing when we get fed up of brassica family and earthy veggies in a couple of months from now.
I will envy you and your stash of tomatoes come winter. I'm hoping my daughter still gets enough to perhaps can a couple jars.
ReplyDeleteI need to start bottling some as I have no more freezer space.
DeleteGetting lighter here of a morning and not long before we head over to summer time, but we've been told that more rain is to come over the spring/summer this year due to another La Nina weather event, so I wonder how are gardens will fare. Last year was woeful for most of us because of the wetness and lack of sunlight, but I'll definitely be putting a few things in. Lost so much last year or it didn't fruit or ripen. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteI can't imaging Oz without a hot summer.
DeleteIs 'too many tomatoes' even a thing? It doesn't register on my internal hard drive in any way! :-) xx
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have believed it could be either but I have a tomato mountain :-)
DeleteHow lovely to have too many! I think next year I might try growing some again. It's getting darker in the morning here now. The sun doesn't rise until 7.30. The good thing is that I can get to see some sunrises again!
