Supporting the local economy :-)

Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...  ๐Ÿ˜ We've just come back from a little Christmas fair/fayre that is being held at the little parade of shops just a ten minute walk from here. We couldn't decide which hand made, knitted loo roll cover we liked best so we bought them both.  It was all in aid of a donkey charity so it's simply our donation to the charity ๐Ÿ˜

And it would have been rude not to buy some goodies from the sweetie stand next door wouldn't it.

I popped out with a friend this morning and bought a large 'butterflied turkey breast' and a  pork tenderloin fillet.  They've gone in the freezer and I'm planning on watching the 'Hairy Bikers' as I'm sure they made a yummy sounding stuffing for the pork tenderloin. It'll be perfect between Christmas and New Year.

  1. I'd be supporting a donkey charity too. I've been to the Donkey Sanctuary in Leeds & still receive their newsletters a couple of times each year. Oh, The Hairy Bikers are great fun either cooking or doing one of the travel or restoration type shows we've seen. Actually we've had very little showing lately of the older English TV programs we've always enjoyed. Not sure why? Thanks for your updates, take care & hugs.

  2. I so miss Christmas Fairs. There are a few craft fairs here, but not many and they are too busy for me! I miss all the hustle and bustle of Christmas in the town. Here a lot of the shops are separate so you're just popping in and out of the car.
