Packed and wrapped

Well today went according to plan and I managed to get everything wrapped so Christmas is all in hand and I can sit back and simply enjoy the rest of the lead up. Tony got his cards dropped off and had a cuppa and a good old catch up with his friends. He's currently cooking bacon, sausage and eggs for me while I sit and watch whatever takes my fancy on the TV.  Tomorrow we are going out for  Christmas dinner at a local pub and are both looking forward to it immensely. We don't go out much together and I've had such a busy time socially this past few weeks that it's lovely to do something together.

At lunch time  Alexander rang me to tell me that he had been successful in his recent job interview and he'll get a £5000 increase on his current wage when he starts with the new company in late January...  Needless to say he is one very happy young man.  I'll give him his due, he has worked and studied very hard to get to this position so he has well and truly earned it.

  2. Congrats to Alexander! Well done!
Good for you for finishing all the wrapping. I'm feeling under the crunch now. The plan is to get everything at least done by Christmas Eve so I can do some crafting. I'm not doing any cooking this year. I am just not in the mood.

    1. I haven't done a great deal of 'proper cooking' lately. We are ready for some home cooked dinners.
