Alexander and Beckah's big day is almost here and Beckah's coming over later today. She's asked if I can turn her great great great grandmother's pearl necklace into a bracelet for her to wear as her 'something old' and that is a lovely little project. Somewhere in my house I have a tiny tin of really old silver sixpences (for her shoe as the rhyme goes) but I'm blowed if I can find them. Last night I got my card making kit out and made a card for them.Alexander is wearing a pale grey suit and all the men are wearing red ties so it's quite appropriate. I've cut a load of hearts to pop into the card and the'll scatter as they open it. I used to put glitter and sparkly sprinkles in special cards but didn't think they'd like a shower of glitter to clean up. I could kick myself for not spacing the wording out before glueing it all down as it got a bit cramped but I doubt they will even notice. I used beautiful holographic card to punch out the letters.
Love the card and envelope! Good job.
ReplyDeleteThanks Maureen. How is your knee today?
DeleteI hope you don’t have to take the necklace apart but can just double it over.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the photos.

Beckah had already dismantled the necklace. I made two bracelets from the pearls.
