Yesterday Tony and I made the base board for the car sleeping platform. I covered one side in a thick piece of carpet and used the offcuts to put two strips on the back of the board to help stop it scratching up the car interior. We're popping into town today and when we get back if it's dry out we will set up the car as if we were going car camping just to see what it looks like. Alexander is showing an interest and hasn't suggested that we are crack pots.. Well not to our faces :-) We've both discovered a company called Tent Box and if I had been ten years younger Tony and I would definitely have bought one. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Beckah and Alexander buy one next year. If youfancy having a look here's a clickable link ... There are a couple of different styles and they fit on any type of car. There are a few videos on You Tube if you are interested.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your one night camping trial in your previous post. It all sounds quite daring but an adventure. One way to see UK economically and even perhaps further afield. Enjoy! Amanda x

ReplyDeleteI love how you and Tony embrace so many new ideas! Be careful with those roof tents though, we at a festival once and someone forgot where they were in the middle of the night, got up to use the loo and ended up breaking a leg. xxx
