Wedding venue with a difference

Last night we went with Alexander and Beckah and her mum and dad to view a potential wedding venue. Beckah had discovered this wonderful place very close to home.It would make the most incredible venue for their wedding if they choose to book it.

Now I have to be very fair and honest here as the wedding is due to take place at the end of October.  I'm not sure a rustic wedding in the middle of a field at the end of October would suit everyone but we think it's beautiful and a wedding held there could be beautiful and very different. And wouldn't I have fun making gorgeous hand made decorations to decorate the site which would be theirs for the whole weekend if they do book it.  Tony and I had visions of twinkling fairy lights and beautiful hand made decorations.  If they do book we plan to stay in one of the tents there for the whole weekend. Having spent four years as a woodland project officer ( Fairydell amongst other places) the thought of being outdoors all weather doesn't faze me in the slightest. Here's a couple of write ups that I was given at the time.  I  loved that job and was heartbroken when the funding for the project came to an end and my role switched to being more indoors though I was lucky enough to be able to run a variety of craft sessions in local venues..

  1. It all sounds rather fascinating & I think I'll even look forward to seeing what you may do & achieve if they have it there. If only we could catch in real life & talk, as I think I'd find your life experiences interesting. Ah.....kid's creative experiences aren't just for them as I had a ball yesterday with my 7 year old next door neighbour crafting & I so enjoyed something I'd forgotten I missed during this Pandemic. Take care & hugs. PS< just caught up on yesterdays post too & I've never tasted elderberry syrup or cordial.

    1. I do hope they choose Baby Moon as a venue. It could be the most incredible wedding couldn't it. Elderberry syrup is well worth making to keep as a cough syrup to ward off nasty cold and flu bugs.

  2. End of October is half term week and, to be fair, the weather then is often really rather pleasant. Not necessarily that warm, but nice, all the same. So fingers crossed.
It would certainly be a wedding to remember, wouldn't it?
    xx

    1. That's exactly what I said. And this is England where it can hammer down for weeks on end in the summer. I think it will be wonderful if they do choose Baby Moon for a venue.
