Up on the roof......

Well not quite, but the conservatory roof was (note the 'was')  a blimmin, moss covered disgrace.  It really reduced the amount of light coming through and Tony has been saying for weeks (I may have hinted)  that he would clean it.  Well he's fast asleep in bed and I have just got on and cleaned it. I was a bit wary of falling off the step ladder and hurting my poorly hip but I was fine. The amount of light coming through now is amazing and I won't wait for Tony to do it in future I'll just get on and do it. The hardest part was getting the step ladder out of the garage and creating some foot pads from my stepping stones.. It gave the step ladder a stable base to rest on. Now I have to clean the windows as dirty water has splashed all over them. The birds will soon pebble dash the roof with moss but I would far rather they did that as they clean out the house guttering and saves me paying someone.  I draw the line at climbing the full height of the house without scaffolding. What are you all up to today?

  1. Well done you are brave I am not sure I would feel safe clambering on a step ladder.

  3. Oh, please be careful, with that hip. I now hire someone to clean the pine needles off of my roof. I just don't want to risk falling, after having both hips replaced. I need to clean my windows, too.
