Tony and I have had a lovely day today. We popped over to Northallerton to see if we could find a miniature water lily but had no luck so popped to B and Q for some insulation... No luck with that either but the display of spring bulbs was too much to resist so we bought a selection and have spent a couple of hours planting some around the pond and creating a small flower bed. I planted miniature iris, crocus and small daffodil bulbs and then we covered them with chipped bark. It looks so pretty and colourful in the garden right now and I'll be sad to see it all fade away. Tomorrow I have the rest of the daffodils, crocus and iris as well as snakes head fritillaries and anemone de caen to plant in the front garden. The'll make a lovely display next spring.

It still looks very cheerful in your garden, even though Autumn is upon you. Well done to you both for care and maintenance of your plot and I always look forward to seeing it. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. xxx We are having lovely warm weather at the moment but that can change overnight.
DeleteGive them a couple of years to really 'take' and it will looks absolutely gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to keep the colour going in the garden for as long as I can and hoping that the new bulbs flower early in the year.
DeleteYour garden is lovely. You still have loads of colour in it Cherie. Ours is starting to fade now that Autumn is upon us, although the bright yellow snapdragons are still flourishing, bless them, they were a real bargain at 50p last year 🙂
ReplyDeleteThank you. The garden brings me so much pleasure.
