The carpet shampooer review

Well I've been a real domestic goddess since buying the carpet cleaner. I started in the living room with the carpet and then moved on to the rugs.  It's an absolute doddle to use and even though it's a bit of a pain to clean it isn't hard. I am staggered by the amount of fluff it gathers and really impressed with how dry it left the carpets.  It's not quite dry enough to walk on so I simply dotted some clean rags across the floor when I had finished. Yesterday I shampooed a large rug and then used the hose attachment to shampoo the stair carpet and it has almost come up like new. The pile is raised and it smells lovely and fresh now. I won't be sitting there quietly simmering when someone doesn't bother to take their shoes off when they visit.. do people still think it's ok to walk across someones carpets with their shoes on.?  I wouldn't dream of doing that and always offer to remove mine. It feels really strange now to walk on carpet in my shoes.

The dehumidifier  has really come into it's own helping dry the carpets. I simply stood it in the centre of the room and left it to do it's own thing.  Do you have one?  I've had a few over the years and tend to use them in the winter to stop the house becoming damp. The amount of water that they pull it is mind blowing and it's well worth the running costs. I run mine overnight and it just keeps the chill off the air too during the really cold weather. Great if you are drying laundry on a clothes horse.  That water has to go somewhere after all.
