The charity shop people came to collect the cabinet but said because it wasn't solid wood they didn't want it??? Tony was fuming but in fairness I suppose they know what they can sell. I put it straight on Gum Tree and a lady is coming for it this evening. I would hate for it to have simply gone to the council dump but we have no further use for it and just want rid now.
Tony's busy making more planting boxes for me and I've finished my upcycled shoe box project. It 's been planted up with autumn/winter veg this afternoon. This is the same picture that's on my veg garden blog cos I've nothing else of interest to take a photo of just yet.
Can I just clarify that it isn't a hot tub in the background it's the garden table and chairs with a cover on. I really don't understand the fad for taking a bath in the garden with your friends while drinking wine. Some things are just a bit too personal for me...... If that's your thing I will simply say 'each to their own' .
Good to hear it's going to be re-used & I'm with you on the hot-tub thing. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThe lady collected it last night and is planning to upcycle it. She had some great ideas for how she intends to paint it.
DeleteI'd rather have a swimming pool than a hot tub or even one of those lazy river things. However, I'm not likely to have any of them so I'm not fretting.
ReplyDeleteThe new planter loons really lovely.
xx
When we win the lottery I'll have a proper pool house.. we don't buy a ticket very often so it's not going to happen any time soon.:-)
DeleteI'm glad the cabinet found a new home.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on hot tubs, they're just plain wrong! xxx
