It's been really humid today and I wish the air would clear. I've been to my whist group this afternoon but before I went I cut the grass in front of our house with the strimmer. It's much easier than dragging the lawnmower out. It takes longer to think about than to actually get on and do the job. I made a cup of coffee and while it was cooling I had the grass cut and the strimmer put away. We played Rumikub instead of whist as there were a few people missing today. Diet was blown out of the water as the lady that runs the whist was 87 today and had brought along a birthday cake that she'd made. I wouldn't be so churlish at to turn down a tiny slice of cake for the sake of a diet.
I am so glad that you graciously accepted a piece of cake. She did well to bake herself a cake at 87!
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to how large your lawn is, ours is quite small and I wonder if I could do it with the strimmer? Right now it is so dry here ( Pacific NW) that it is not growing and looking more like straw but it always comes back. A professional charges $35.00 to cut it so I have been doing it with the battery operated mower myself, mower is one of the smallest (12 in or so wide).
You couldn't do that, I agree.
