Rain's forecast

Thank goodness the washing went out on the line first thing and has dried nicely as it looks as though we are heading for a heavy downpour later today. I knew that the baby seedlings in my new planter would be bashed to bits if I didn't cover them up so I've taken a piece of corrugated plastic and made a cloche top for them. The pop bottles are to stop anyone from poking their eyes out on the canes. I do intend to get around to taking the Fimo out of the shed and making some cane toppers eventually.

I've got some lovely photo's of the produce starting to ripen if anyone is interested in my gardening blog

  1. Considering that's your front garden, Cherie, it looks really lovely and productive. Unusual for a front garden. We've just had a torrent of a downpour, fortunately it didn't last long.

    1. It's a really good spot for growing things. It gets very hot and is sheltered from the wind.

  3. Just catching up after after maintenance on the NBN system in our area. A belated Happy Anniversary & your time out & about must have been lovely & in places I have been too. Hope your seedlings do OK & what a clever idea to use the plastic as a cloche. Extremely windy already here with thunderstorms & hail predicted too. Take care & hugs.
