Out for lunch

 I've had a thoroughly lovely lunch with friends at  BRASS CASTLE COUNTRY HOUSE  today.

 It's nearly a year since Tony and I stayed there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and goodness how they have improved the outside area.  The bedrooms are gorgeous and the service is second to none. The girls and I sat and chatted  for ages after lunch then decided to have a dessert as well.  Blow the diet we were celebrating my friend's birthday. We all dressed up and each wore a large straw sunhat, probably looked like we had been to a wedding. It just felt so nice to have a reason to get dressed up. Tony and I will be celebrating our wedding anniversary tomorrow and we have four days of treats planned. We thought we would make a long weekend of it as we are sick to death of this blimmin pandemic. We plan to enjoy a little bit of freedom for as long as possible till the next lockdown. We aren't going to do anything silly and will still be wearing our masks if we need to be indoors anywhere but we are both double jabbed and  it's time life got back to normal.
