It's a lovely sunny morning and I love this time of year when my garden is filled with colour. It seems no sooner one thing has finished when another takes its place. At the moment my bottlebrush is looking stunning and I only with I could capture with my camera the way it looks. I trimmed it back yesterday as it was starting to make a takeover bid in the front border. Now it looks utterly charming with huge red bottle brushes on the end of each stem. The wisteria is climbing all over the wooden arch/pergola but hasn't a single flower bud on it. Maybe next year. You might just be able to see the bottle brush to the left of the arch/pergola if you enlarge the picture on your screen.
Must get on as the kids are coming for tea tonight and I have a gazillion things to do in the garden. My friend tells me the forecast isn't great for today so I want to make the most of it while it's nice.
Looks really pretty. That looks like such an inviting spot to take a seat. I hope you had a lovely tea with your kids.
ReplyDeleteTried to leave a comment yesterday, but our i'net went off for maintenance in our area, so here I am again finally. Your front is a "feast" for the eyes & stomach.(giggle). I should pop you a photo of bottle brushes in the wild, you may be gently surprised. Have a great weekend, take care & hugs.
