We are completely bonkers. :-)

Last night Tony had a fry up for his tea and I had a tuna salad... in my fishy bowl. The fish bowl really isn't as small as the photo implies and is plenty big enough for me

His and hers

Tuna salad

Bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms and bread and butter

Tony just plopped it all on the plate before I had chance to artistically arrange it  :-)

Now you are going to think, ahem, know, that  I am completely barking mad. We are taking advantage of Aldi's 'Christmas in June' offers.  We are going to have a large turkey, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, turnips and sprouts. This will be followed  by mince pies and cream for tea.  Yup, you read that right. Christmas dinner will be served here in Kemp Castle tonight. I'm getting the Christmas china out of the cupboard and we will be having Christmas songs on the cd player.   Tony has spent the past few evenings stringing solar powered lights all along the front of the house. They are nothing to do with our planned Christmas dinner he just wanted to put them up. He put some all around the back garden last week.  I bet it looks like Blackpool's golden mile to any passing aircraft. :-)

  1. In this changing world I'm all for doing exactly what you want as long as you're not hurting anybody. Good on you both and have a good Christmas night.

  2. I loved reading this post & had a good giggle. Here in Oz, lots of people do a Xmas in July, as that is the sort of weather in the Northern Hemisphere when celebrations happen, whereas our Xmas's are quite often "very" hot. My friend Joy runs a Xmas in July blog hop type thing for her followers. Not sure what this one will be. Have fun, take care & hugs.

    1. I can't imagine a 'hot' Christmas though i think it would be rather nice.

  3. Sometimes it's great to have that sort of meal some time when you're not expecting it! It will taste all the better for being something different! Enjoy
