Our Christmas in June dinner was lovely but I forgot to take a photo as I'd been out and played whist over in Redcar. First time in nearly 16 months. Oh my was it nice to be able to meet up again
And the mini mince pies are very tasty.
Yesterday we had a really lazy day and then today we've been to Alexander and Beckah's to celebrate both their birthdays. They had organised a barbecue with all Beckah's family and what lovely welcoming people they are. After the barbecue we had a drive over to look at the wedding venue as we had considered booking accommodation nearby... Nothing was anywhere close so we have booked an overnight stay in Guisborough where we are picking up the coach that they have hired to take guests to the venue. I now have an extra four months to drop another dress size before the wedding. I was chuffed to bits to slide back into my size twelves.. Well maybe slide is stretching the truth a little as they fit snuggly. I couldn't get them over my lardy backside six weeks ago.
Very festive looking & do hope all goes well with the wedding plans for your son & fiancee. Take care, stay safe & hugs.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have had fun with friends this weekend! x
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun Christmas in June. So nice that both families get on and meet up together. Hope you manage to lose the weight that you want to.
ReplyDeleteYou found mince pies - how clever!
ReplyDeleteIn four months you will definitely be slipping into your clothes; you're doing so very well.
xx
Aldi had advertised Christmas in June ages ago. I think they assumed we would be out of lockdown by then. They had mince pies, pigs in blankets and turkeys for sale.
