Yesterday i set to and painted all the garden furniture 'Sea Mist' from Cuprinol.  It looks absolutely gorgeous now and the garden makes me feel quite 'seasideish'. It's such a transformation from the drab greyish brown that it had turned over the years.

So much nicer now. That isn't a pool of paint at the base of the legs It's bubble wrap. I put it under each leg before I started |
I am off out for a walk soon and today I am having lunch at a friends house. We've arranged to play some games of Rumikub in the garden with a couple from our Whist group. It's been a long time since we played Whist at the church over in Redcar (yes that is the name of the town).  Scampi and chips is on the menu and I'm taking along a big bowl of salad which I will pick fresh from the garden. It means I can avoid the chips while still enjoying scampi.  I'm down to ten stone one and look and feel better for it. I've lost nine pounds in six weeks and because I am taking it slow and steady I will not put this lard back on. At weekends we indulge in carbs and alcohol though my new found tipple is Pepsi Max. I don't bother with the alcohol now, though that isn't to say that I am totally tea total. If I fancy a cool tin of cider I'll have one.. I'd have to go and buy it though as I don't have any in the house.

You have done such a great job on the furniture, it looks wonderful. Well done on the weight loss, I have made a start myself it just took awhile to get motivated.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorraine. I have a few pounds left to shift before I can fit back into all my pre op clothes but I am taking it slow and steady.
DeleteBrilliant, it all looks fab.

Thanks Briony. It's been a nice project to do.
DeleteLooks really nice and fresh & makes my poor old chairs look very dowdy, though our glass top table is OK. Ooh......,scampi, something I love and we don't get over here. I need to come over & have some fun with family & friends. Enjoy your day, take care, stay safe & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThe scampi was absolutely gorgeous.
DeleteThat looks great. It's so satisfying when you can breathe new life into things you already own. Arilx
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what we think.

ReplyDeleteIt's really brightened up the garden and has given it a nice fresh look.
DeleteOh it looks lovely, Cherie, I really like the colour.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sooze. I'm pleased at how it's turned out.
DeleteWow it looks great! It does have a beachy look to it!
ReplyDeleteWe are only fifteen minutes in the car from the beach yet we have never ever felt beachy before.
DeleteGood for you. I've gone the opposite direction. I started enjoying an evening glass of wine during the pandemic. I have a small glass of Muscato with my evening salad. Congrats on the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteI haven't missed alcohol at all but it's nice to have a glass of wine with a meal isn't it. Somehow it makes a meal feel a bit more special.
