The weather yesterday was crazy. One minute blue sky and sunshine and the next it was miserable and damp. I got quite a surprise when we had a hail storm as it wasn't particularly cold although it did look a bit grey. I had the washing in and out several times before I gave up playing laundry hokey cokey and just accepted it would have to go on the radiators to finish off.
I've been looking online at bungalows with large gardens and Lincoln looks like being good value for money. Can I ask those of you that live in or around Lincoln to suggest places that we would best avoid. Tony seems to think that Lincoln is prone to flooding and obviously we don't want that kind of risk hanging over our head when we retire. Sadly the housing in areas of Wales that we could afford always looks really grim or I would move there in the blink of an eye. Lancashire looks quite promising too but it's all about what we can get for our money next year. I would love a small bungalow with a large garden.
Small bungalow with larger garden sounds just perfect. xx
ReplyDeleteIt would be perfect for me.
DeleteI bet you'll find one. It's good that you're looking online. That's how I found the cabin. You'll know it when you see it.
ReplyDeleteCan't help you with location as although I've visited many times, I'm not savvy to a lot of locations. My best advice is think wisely, do your research & don't be in too much of a hurry. We've made a few mistakes with retirement, so I'll pop an email through. Take care & hugs.
