Well the weather forecast was completely wrong. It's been really very pleasant and the sun even came out between the clouds now and then. What with one thing and another we've had a really busy day today. Last night Tony suddenly remembered that he had left his 'lone worker' gadget charging up at work and asked if we might pop over there to unplug it. We nipped over to my friends and dropped her birthday card off and then drove over to Hartlepool to unplug the gadget. While in Hartlepool we called into a little nursery and bought a few plants. Two tumbling tomato, some purple sprouting broccoli and a couple of trailing plants for the hanging baskets. On the way back my friend offered me a couple of tomato plants so Tony nipped round to collect them and came home with three. They are a bit leggy but will soon catch up and bush out nicely. We've spent the rest of today working in the garden and there's a picture heavy post over on my gardening blog if you are interested.
I can taste those tomatoes already. Mmmmm
