I'm sitting in the conservatory looking out into the garden with a blanket over my knees as it's a little cool. I am already planning my day and hoping that it's as warm and sunny as yesterday turned out to be.
The new hedge is coming along a treat and has suddenly put on a growth spurt and started to thicken up. I fully intend to keep this one under control as the Pyracantha hedge grew to about eight feet tall and four feet thick. This one will be kept in line with my neighbours fence panel at five feet tall and no thicker than about two foot six. That's tall enough to be private and thick enough to stop the wind damaging my plants.

Snowball turnips are new to me. We grew great big chinese radish that were great as you can slice them in rings. Maybe worth a try as they grow really quickly and are not as hot a the tiny one's.

DeletePrivacy plants are wonderful. I am waiting for it to warm up a bit, then I will put my poppies and pansies in the ground. They might be okay, since they can handle the cold.
ReplyDeleteOur garden is lacking privacy at the moment and we will be glad when the hedge grows a bit.
DeleteSounds interesting to grow veg in a tray that small. Good luck. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThere are quite a few mini veg that can be grown in quite small places.
