Well it's been a windy old day so far and I've managed to get two loads of washing line dried and ready to put away. It's a lot warmer today than of late so I gave the veggie plot a good watering. It seems ages since we had actual rain of any note and it was looking a bit parched out the. Had to pop over to my neighbours and put some drops in her eye as she has a thing about eyes and can't bring herself to do it. I've just been reading Briony's blog and love how she has coloured the fabric with pens before embroidering it. I definitely need to be a bit braver with my embroidery. Parcel going off to Amanda out in Sunny Spain.in the next day or two. Amanda... I challenge you to use the things in a project.
Thank you Cherie. "Curiouser and Curiouser" said Alice LOL! I do like a challenge and now I can't wait for it to arrive :-) Amanda x
ReplyDeleteTony has taken it to work with him and will post it at lunchtime for me. I told him to send it the cheapest way possible so it might take a little while to get there... I'm a true Yorkshire skinflint. :-) If you are unsure what any of it is let me know and I will tell you. xx
DeleteThe vagaries of weather? It cooled down over night here (28 degrees yesterday) and we've had rain, which I'm sure our garden has enjoyed & a fair bit cooler forecast for today at 18. I've done a little bit of painting on embroidery with water colour pencils & often say I'll try it again. Have fun with it, take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteIt's cooler again today and at last we have some rain forecast. Goodness knows whether it will be a bit of drizzle or a torrential downpour. Have a great weekend and stay warm and cosy. xx
DeleteIt's been soooo windy on my island for 4 days :-( I hate the wind because it breaks everything. :-(
ReplyDeleteHave you got a link for Briony's blog as that sounds rather interesting about the embroidery ? :-D xoxo
I'm not keen on the wind either. It's so damaging. The URL I posted is actually a link to Briony's blog.
DeleteI couldn't find the bit about colouring fabric with pens before embroidering :-(
