It's been a real scorcher up here in the frozen north and I have enjoyed pottering around in the garden most of today. It's all starting to spring to life out there and my newly sprouted grass seed is looking almost like it's a part of the existing lawn. It seems to have gone from nothing to something in a matter of days. If we can get some more fresh turf on Sunday I plan to extend it even further. It'll look patchy and bitty for a while but will be lovely once it all meshes together. The nights are still very cold and my poor Camellia bush has been very badly frost burned. I am hoping that as it gets a little more established it will toughen up a bit. I have a lovely tub of very fragrant narcissi down on the path and my peas for shoots are coming along a treat
Yesterday morning I was staggered to see that I had lost nearly three pounds in two days on the Keto diet but don't want to turn this blog into a diet blog. I'm making a separate blog to track what Tony and I eat and how much we lose over the next month.
Ooh your garden is coming along despite the chilly nights. Our Sasanqua camellias are already flowering & my favourite Japonica one, "Volunteer" has plenty of fat buds. Good to her you are doing well on the Keto diet. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteMy poor camellia is very frost burned. It should be red but looks rusty. I'm loving the Keto diet and watching a lot of videos on You Tube
DeleteWhen you start the blog, please do post the link here as I'll be so interested.
ReplyDeleteA shame about the Camellia but it has been very cold, unseasonably so.
xx
I'm staggered at how quickly the pounds are melting off me. I wore a pair of jeans today that could hardly fit over my hips let alone fasten this time last week.
