I have just spent a pleasant hour stitching some of my tiny hexies into a little brooch to pin onto my sewing bag. It got me thinking though and you all know how dangerous that can be. Why not make a tiny keepsake brooch from a favourite blouse or child's dress? One that isn't good enough to pass on but has plenty of pretty fabric that you can cut up and use. Many years ago I made a tiny teddy bear, a lap quilt and a cushion for my friends daughter after her dad had passed away. I used his silk ties to make the quilt and bear and I used a couple of his shirts to make the cushion. I posted about it at the time and it will be lurking somewhere in the depths of my blog.
I love the idea of a keepsake brooch, such a good idea.
