Healthy options lunch

After the huge baguette we had for breakfast I thought a salad would be nice for lunch. I picked beetroot leaves, sprout leaves, chives, and rainbow chard from the garden and added it to shop bought florence fennel, tomatoes, cucumber,  basil, iceberg lettuce and pickled beetroot.  The protein was a small block of cheese grated and tossed into the salad with some raspberry balsamic vinegar.  We had a glass of mango Kombucha to drink instead of the usual cup of tea and very nice it was too.

  1. Looks & sounds nice & I think I'd like it, but my other half isn't a salad fan, though we do have them with a BBQ quite often. Take care & hugs.

    1. Kombucha isn't really a fruit drink. It's fermented tea flavoured with fruit. Full of good gut bacteria.

  3. Oh, yum! Salads are so healthy. I have one every day at around 4:00 p.m. I usually enjoy mine with a glass of fruity muscato, out on the garden porch. It really helps your health to eat all of those nutritious raw greens and herbs...
