After taking the big shed down Tony asked me if I would go online to see if the local council would take it away. I did that and found out that yes they do take large things. Five items free of charge if you don't need it collecting in a hurry.... Tony had cut the pieces up to make them easy to collect but there were more than five pieces so last night he nailed them back together. I rang the council today... No they don't take sheds any more but if we are prepared to cut it up into smaller pieces and bundle them together then they will collect it as 'wood'. Guess who is going to take it all apart again and cut it into smaller pieces when he gets in from work tonight. If the roof parts weren't covered in tar off the roofing felt I would have kept the wood and used it for something or other. What a flippin faff about though.
Oh dear, what a faff.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's too bad. I just hauled a load of bagged leaves to our local dump. Hope you can get the shed disposed of soon.
ReplyDeleteHow very frustrating. Hope it gets taken in reasonable time.
