Blue sky and sunshine

It looked really nice when I looked out of the window but oh my it was blimmin freezing today.  After my walk this morning I did a bit of dusting.  I can't remember the last time I dusted skirting boards, top of the wardrobe and picture frames... They are now spotless but I am clearly a shocking housekeeper. I think Tony should sack me and employ someone to do the job  :-)  Then I painted the potting bench in the same shade as the fence and potting shed. It's tidied it up nicely and with a bit of luck we will get the pergola painted tomorrow. The cold made me retreat to the house though so it didn't get a second coat. I've ordered some busy lizzie seeds from ebay and as soon as they arrive I will get them sown. It will be nice to fill some of the garden with colour and I plan to put some into hanging pouches and put them on the fence posts. In the past that has given me a colourful display for months. For a number of years Busy lizzie's have suffered badly from some sort of disease or other and B and Q stopped selling the big trays of them. I'm hoping that it's been bred out of them but only time will tell. Have you been up to much today

  1. I didn’t know about the disease in Busy Lizzie. I always buy them because like you say, they go on for so long. Also the slugs and snails leave them alone.

  2. That's the thing about spring, isn't it? The ups and downs of the weather. One day last week I was walking in my light jacket, today I was back in my winter get-up with two pairs of gloves and wishing I'd worn my long undies!
