Where's all the snow?

We expected to wake up this morning to a good covering of the white stuff but other than a crust of frost on the workshop roof  I was disappointed. It has tried its best all day to snow but only tiny dusty little flakes... Hardly worth bothering really. We haven't even been particularly cold today so have only just lit the fire. Of course we are tough up north and southern softies might find it very cold (before you get your knickers in a twist I am just joking). Have you been up to anything interesting today?  Tony and I have sat on the sofa and finished the first of our new jigsaws. It was a bit of a brute with so many similar shades but we persevered. I get to choose which one we do next. Ooh the excitement, we lead such interesting exciting lives don't we?  :-)

  1. We have certainly had the beast from the east in Essex. It's been blowing a hooley since 4 this morning, with constant snow.

  2. I'll gladly give you some snow, but you have to take the sub 0F temps along with it.

  3. Cool & wet here in Oz yesterday morning & I tried to remedy the old UFO & now know why I put it aside. The measurements just don't seem right for some of the cutting. It may become something else. It warmed a little by mid afternoon & we attacked the overgrown messy corner. Just think that February 7th back in 2009 was our Black Saturday Bushfired, so close to us & frightening & it reached 46deg & yesterday reached a maximum of 19, so different for February. Take care, stay safe & hugs.

    1. I would have been terrified. Does that happen often?

  4. Ha Ha on the cold! It was -11c here today. Brrr. There was a wind blowing too so felt a lot colder. We were either brave or stupid (still up for debate according to husband) and we went over to the lakeshore to see the ice build-up. Up to this point we've had a mild-to-us (for Michigan) winter but now temperatures have plummeted and the ice has built up. You would think that as husband grew up here he'd be used to these cold temps!

    1. Now that is definitely cold. Thank goodness we don't see those temperatures here. Can you imagine how much we'd moan about the weather then? :-)
