Happy Valentine's day

Good morning my lovely blogging buddies.  Goodness me it's windy out but it feels a tiny bit warmer and that is a good thing. With a bit of luck the snow will disappear over the next day or two.  Things have turned slightly worrying as the South African Variant  of the dreaded virus has turned up in my postcode area. It isn't actually my district though. It's the next estate along and everyone there is being offered tests. I will be watching carefully to see whether we need to go and get a test.

Yesterday Tony made my day when he went out into the garage and made this for me.

I was reading Lulu's blog   Long Mizzle Garden and she posted a picture of a piece of wood with a heart cut out.  I asked Tony to make me one for Valentine's day  and I was chuffed to bits when he came in from the garage and handed it to me.  He came in from work on Friday with the most beautiful orchid for me. I'd asked him not to buy flowers for Valentine's day as I would much prefer a plant. The photo is a bit busy but you can see the white orchid in the foreground

I always like to decorate envelopes when I give a handmade card and this is the envelope that Tony's Valentine's day card is in.

I hope the snow is starting to disappear wherever you are. Stay warm and please stay safe.

  3. Well done Tony on the woodwork gift & that Orchid is quite unusual to others I'v ever seen. We don't do Valentines Day, but we do make a special phone call to my brother-in-law in Leeds as he celebrates his birthday on 14th. He's now 78. Hope the day was good for you both, take care, stay warm & safe. Hugs.
