Does it come in threes?

While visiting the dentist this morning the receptionist gave me two free sample mini tubes of toothpaste.  I've just been for a walk with my friend and she gave me a gorgeous hat that she had bought yesterday. It doesn't fit her but she says it was hardly worth the petrol to take it back.  She wouldn't let me pay for it even though it is exactly the style that I like and would gladly give her the money for it.  I look ridiculous in a bobble hat. I feel like a four year old when I put one on my head and have looked for a hat in this 'bucket' style for a long time.  I bought the purple one more than twenty years ago at a craft fair. It's made from a thick chenille yarn and had been crocheted by hand. There was a matching scarf but that disappeared years ago. The new one is going to match a lot more than the purple one. If your screen is showing blue it's not. It's bright 'Catholic Purple'.  I once read that purple is  'the colour of madness'.... Perfect for me then  :-) If things come in threes I wait with bated breath.
