Beautiful sunny day

It's been absolutely gorgeous today and I have even caught the sun a bit. Not bad when you think it's the tail end of winter and spring is still a long way off. I know that the weather can change overnight at this time of year and there is still plenty of time for snow to arrive so I am making the most of every lovely day.   We managed to get the craft  workshop emptied and were horrified to see just how rotten it all is.  The floor has holes in it which had been hidden by the workbench so it would only have been a matter of time before one of us went through the floor.  As soon as we have had the electric disconnected in there we can dismantle it. I also prepped the new raised bed. I dug out two Helebores and a couple of clumps of snowdrops.  I also dug out a clump of bluebells and will get rid of the bulbs as they really become a bit of a weed. I've covered the entire bed with a very thick cardboard sheet that Tony brought from work ages ago.  They'd had some bit of kit delivered in a very heavy cardboard box and Tony immediately rang me to ask whether I wanted the box.

I am having a huge chuck out from the craft stash and condensing supplies into smaller boxes.  The poor potting shed has become a bit of a dumping ground while we empty the workshop. I will be spending the next few weeks having a thorough sort out and passing on anything that I won't use. My days of working in schools are over and I don't need to keep bags and boxes full of resources.

  1. Sounds like you've been a busy bee. The bulbs would have been nice if I'd lived closer, but then we rarely see either snowdrops or English bluebells growing here. Don't think we get cold enough or some other reason. I've been having a "slow" clearout, but our Op Shops haven't been accepting much or aren't open. Take care & hugs.
