All through the darkest weeks of winter I hardly see the sunshine at the front of the house as it hides behind the house opposite. I'm always delighted when it appears above the roofline again. It started to do that the other week. It's only a tiny corner of the house at the moment but it holds such promise. As the sun circles in the sky my bedroom is flooded with sunshine and light. The thermal warmth is lovely and at this time of year I like to sit on my bed and read or do a little crafting. It's the warmest and brightest place in the house. In a week or two my kitchen will start to feel the benefit of the sun's rays as it climbs higher in the sky a tiny bit more each day. That's when the urge to clean really hits me. The sunshine makes me want to fill buckets with hot soapy water and give everything a thorough scrub... I only wish I felt like doing that in the middle of winter.
I have the same reaction to sunshine as well, I will need to clean the whole house which is crazy as it's not dirty.
