And it looks so much brighter and lighter in my garden. It's really mood changing to be able to see the sky and not the dark oppressive wall of green when I sit on the sofa.

We hope they aren't thinking of cutting the big tree down though. It looks lovely in winter when it's covered with snow and during spring and summer the birds sit in there and sing their little hearts out. We are actually able to see the tree properly now as it always just merged with the hedge

And I know I promised no more hexie photos but well a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. They are coming along nicely and i aim to do two or three each evening while sitting watching TV.
I can't believe that they let that hedge get that tall and you couldn't see the sky, so much better now.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't that look great. I do know how it feels as my Neighbours got rid of an overgrown leylandii 'hedge' between their garden and mine and, quite apart from the extra light, it gave me over a metre extra width along the side of my garden. I kind of miss the greenness but not the space it took up - my tomatoes now go along that fence every summer.
