I woke this morning to discover that it is snowing heavens hard. It clearly hadn't been snowing for very long but within about ten minutes it really started to pick up speed and cover everything. My photo's almost look like black and white ones but they aren't.
The last remnants of Christmas will be put away today and then I want to give the house a thorough clean from top to bottom. A month or two ago I made an orange vinegar to use as a cleaner. It smells amazing and means I won't be using any nasty chemicals to clean the house. I want to learn more about making vinegar and flavoured oils this year. I also hope to grow as much produce as possible and to preserve a lot of it for use during the months when the veg plot is quiet and not producing a lot. It's not a New Year's resolution just a simple plan for 2021.
Lots of white stuff there & although it looks pretty,I expect it's pretty nippy. Enjoy your housework day and stay warm. Take care and huggles.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, it's snowing as I type and looks beautiful.
DeleteIt looks so beautiful. It's just this minute started snowing here as well. Huge flakes. X
ReplyDeleteI love it when it snows huge goose feather flakes. It looks so beautiful.
DeleteThe first snowfall...so magical!! I never buy commercial cleaning brands...total rubbish and not at all healthy. I mainly use either domestic vinegar or lemon juice or Bicarbonate of soda and sometimes bleach .....that is it. Olive oil as well for certain things. I do like the sound of orange vinegar! Would that be orange oils mixed with the vinegar ? keep well Amanda x
ReplyDeleteDo you ever get snow out there?
DeleteWe had another motherload this morning, too - most unusual for us! xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Vix. x
DeleteThankfully a slight covering for a few moments and then gone. Whilst it makes for some great photos I am not keen on it staying around for long.
ReplyDeleteAs long as I don't need to gout in it I'm fine.
DeleteBeautiful. None here and, unless it has changed since I last looked, none expected either. I made my own snow bank with what I scraped out of the freezer. :-)

We've had loads of snow today. It does look very pretty.
DeleteYour photos are gorgeous! My friend dehydrates a lot of what she grows. Right now my citrus trees are loaded with fruit! It's so satisfying to grow your own food.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephenie. Hope you have had a great Christmas.
DeleteThe snow looks so pretty. I use vinegar a lot, but smell is off putting.
