Hooked on jigsaws

Tony and I have discovered a love of jigsaws. So much so that we had to tear ourselves away last night and go to bed or we would have stayed there for hours adding 'just a couple more pieces'. It's filling time and at the moment while covid is still rife we have no desire to go anywhere.  It did cross my mind this morning that a trip away for a few days will be a very welcome treat as soon as it's safe to do that. I love being at home but there is only so much of my own company that I can stand. The weather isn't helping either.  It's the middle  of winter though so is to be expected. Are you doing anything interesting ?

  1. Quilting, gardening when it's neither too hot, wet or windy, which seems to be our weather at the moment & there are always meals and housework on the go, so yes we stay busy, but like you say, it's good to get away. Have you tried a WASGIJ? They are highly addictive & we have quite a few & did some our DD loaned us in the height of our lockdown last winter.
Take care, stay safe & huggles.

    1. I've never heard of a WASGIJ and will have to google. I learn something new every day :-)

  2. I am impressed that you and Tony can do jigsaw puzzles. I can't do them. I find the sea of pieces overwhelming. I've only tried a couple of times, and was so frustrated. I have several of them here that the seller left behind. Wish I could give them to you.

  3. I really am missing being able to make plans regarding days out with friends or trips away. It was having those things planned that lifted my spirits before this awful pandemic. We all need things to punctuate every day life!

    1. I used to play whist every Friday afternoon but of course we can't at the moment. I miss the lovely people there and one of our members sadly passed away recently so she will be a big loss to the group.

    1. We left it too late last year so got in early this time around. We bought six big bags about a fortnight ago. I'm ready to start sowing and growing

  5. We go through loads of jigsaws and have been doing them for years. Now with the 'problem' and no charity shops open we are beginning to panic that we will run out, lol
I have found that you can buy them on 'the market place' on Facebook quite reasonably. Once we are sat down doing them its a hard job to drag yourself away. So glad you have got the bug.

  6. Crafting, doing up a dolls house, jigsaws, crosswords and a film now and again. Like you it would be nice to have a few days away and the ultimate treat a trip to see the family.

    1. As soon as the weather fairs up I intend to bring the dolls house in from the workshop and make a start doing it up.

  7. During this last year I have found jigsaws really addictive. I miss them if I don't have one on the go and I too have to drag myself away at times.
