Blisters

Yesterday Tony and I took a little walk around the neighbourhood. We are a fine pair as he is limping badly due to a knee problem and the blisters on my heels were really sore. When we got back home my heels were bleeding and very painful. I guess it's going to take them a while longer to heal that I expected.

Today there's a thick crust of frost on the workshop roof that hasn't budged an inch even though the sky is blue and the sun is shining. It's way to cold to be doing anything outdoors so I've spent most of today cutting and stitching hexie flowers.  This is going to be a long term project and I plan to pop them into a box and just keep on making them till I have enough. I've been using my half inch hexies and it's a great way to use up even teenie weenie scraps. I  promise not to bore you to death by mentioning hexies any more:-)

  1. Not boring and I can see it being beautiful when finally finished & long term projects are great for dipping into when you can or feel like it. Take care, stay safe & warm and hugs from down under.

  2. If you use pentagons, it makes a sort of bowl shape, not flat, nice for lining a bread basket or similar.
Feel free to go on mentioning them - it's interesting. I wonder what your project is.

    1. That's interesting. I'm very new to paper piecing and have a lot to learn. I am going to make a King size quilt... So it's a long term project.
