Writing poetry

 I'm feeling a bit soppy and sentimental this morning and poetry is flowing.  I would love to hear Dolly Parton or some other country singer sing this.

If this is going to be, the last time I will see you 

The last time I will ever hold your hand.

I want the world to know, how very much you mean to me

 I want the world to understand

We walked through life together and shared so many hopes

 You are the dream that did come true

But darling just remember, the times we shared together

Please know now that forever I've loved you

It's hard to say goodbye when there's so much love inside me 

There's still so many dreams for us to share

But darling you will understand the time has come to leave you

Always remember just how much I care

I hope some day we'll meet again, I'll gently take you in my arms

Beyond the inky darkness of the skies

We'll walk together hand in hand and all of heaven will understand

The love for you that's shining in my eyes.
