The Christmas packed lunch

Many many years ago I decorated Tony's work packed lunch as a bit of fun.  Every year since he has requested a festive lunch box... now behave yourselves. This is not that kind of blog  :-) I used to start on the last week before he finished for Christmas but it has got earlier each year. This year I made a start last week and gradually a little more gets added to it. Here is Tony's breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. He took a similar one today but that one has gold jingly bells on.  When he comes home those jingly bells will be added to this lunch box... We are clearly quite mad.

Complete with Christmas paper napkin.. of course

Last night we curled up on the sofa and enjoyed a lovely mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream. It's Christmas films season and we are working our way through all the ones on channel 51 and Netflix

  2. Cherie, I think this is a cute tradition, and it's fun to do something different and Christmasy for your hubby that you don't do any other time of year. That is special! Some would think my hubby and I quite mad as well. ;-) I had a giggle over it and these days, giggles are very welcome. Your mugs of hot chocolate and whipped cream look wonderful and I can't think of a better past time with your mate than sipping on a hot beverage while watching a Christmas movie. We do the same most evenings this time of year. If you would like to share this at the party, just let me know in a comment. Hugs...Sandi

  3. I wonder what his workmates think of his lunch boxes, lol.
When we were younger I used to tuck little notes into Toms lunch box, he loved them.
By the way, you are not mad. It's pity more people aren't full of joy like you are.

    1. It gives his workmates a good chuckle. They are a nice bunch and have learned to expect the unexpected with us two.

  4. Ah...Cherie...we are on round 2 of most of the Christmas movies, as we began watching when the political news turned so horrid here, and cocoa has been a staple here also. Love your cups...and the lunches are a hoot...! Sandi

  8. Ohh bentos, I could do that for Paul, I already embarrassed him with octopus sausages in his bento. I could do that when I escape tomorrow. Love the hot chocolate how cute.

  9. Utterly bonkers but in such a lovely, happy, celebratory way that it's not bonkers at all, it is perfect for the season.
