This morning as soon as it got light I toddled off out into the new shed to give it a second coat of white paint. I was just finishing when Tony rang to see how I was getting on... It will need at least another coat says I...But I am not going to bother. It's only a blimmin shed. Oh! but you want it all nice in there, says Tony. It's a blimmin shed???????? I am clearly barking mad freezing my bits off painting the inside of the garden shed. If it was to be a craft shed or a summerhouse it would be worth doing... but to store the garden tools and lawnmower? Anyway, it's not getting a third coat it can just look rustic. If the weather is decent tomorrow I plan to start moving the cupboards and shelves into it. I would do it now but it's turned bitterly cold so I am in for the afternoon snuggled up in front of the fire.
Its been dreary here again today but it is mild.
ReplyDeleteCrackers??? Well, not in my book. There's a time and a place for perfectionism. Garden shed - well, maybe not. Perhaps Tony can do any third coats?
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to turn cold here in time for Christmas Eve.
xx
We all do silly things at times, so don't beat yourself up. I'm sure 2 coats are enough & now you can come & help us paint the outside of ours now the extension is finished (giggle).Warmer here to do it. Well done & after Christmas, you can the get stuck in moving shelves ready for the new year.
ReplyDeleteTake care, stay safe & huggles.
Two coats sound like just enough. I'm not sure I'd have the patience or ambition to do it more than once lol!
