Glitter wrapping paper may look absolutely stunning but it's a blimmin nightmare to use. The glitter sheds all over the place and the sticky tape doesn't stick. I've been fighting with these presents for the past hour. No sooner had I wrapped the ribbon around than it slid off. Grrrrr
Then I realised that I haven't shared any Christmas piccies just lately and that would not do at all 😀

Now if you tell me that you haven't made tinsel tiebacks for your curtains in the bedroom I shall be very disappointed in you all :-)
Thanks for making me smile. But, sorry I haven't got tinsel tie backs, lol

I'm sending the police round... Covering everything in tinsel is the law
DeleteYour post made me smile too, sorry no tinsel here...
ReplyDeleteI think Tartan is a good replacement
DeleteI'm afraid I haven't, my curtains not being the kind that require tie backs. However I do have Christmas bunting (made by Beth to order) and loadsa Christmas cushions and tablecloths. Will that do?

OMG I don't have any Christmas bunting... That's going on the list :-)
DeleteMy experience with that type of thing also gave me fits in the past, besides staying away from it all together, I got out my hot glue gun and very carefully glued the spots where I would have used tape. Just make sure it doesn't stick to the gift. I also used a dot of glue to help anchor the ribbon in place. It worked really well, as long as I slid something under the part to be glued to keep it from sticking to the item. Ranee (MN) USA
ReplyDeleteThe hot glue is a great idea. Thanks.
DeleteSorry I"ve not been commenting but we've had i'net issues, but now back online properly. Glitter can be a pain, but that sounds horrific. No tinsel here as yet, though I have noticed as we've been driving around that some street signs have been wound with it. Hope you don't have to go into severe lockdown as I just read your last post. Sydney has some new cases now after Australia was just about free from it, but they are bringing lots of citizens back in after being stranded overseas & it seems this has started it again. Take care, stay safe & huggles. PS: I'll be in touch before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGlitter is gorgeous but not on wrapping paper... I have learned my lesson. :-)
DeleteNo tinsel or glitter, here, BUT, I just love your Santa bed linen and the Santa hats on the headboard! :)
ReplyDeleteGlitter is going to be a thing of the past. I love it but ecologically it causes so much damage. I always ended up with a shiny face when using glitter.
ReplyDeleteXmas free as usual , until grandson snuck in and put up 2ft of blue tinsel awfulness even the cats are to ashamed to bother it ...lol
