A very lazy day

What have you been up to today? I haven't felt like doing much so watched loads of gardening videos on you tube. There are some truly knowledgeable people out there and it's been so long since I had my allotment that I have so much to learn. Lunch was a cheese and salad sandwich and of course the lettuce, pak choi, chard, beetroot leaves and sprout leaves came from my garden. There's three bottles of Kombucha having a second fermentation with the addition of tinned raspberries. The last batch was soooo good.  I only have one ready to drink bottle left in the fridge so yesterday I made a fresh batch batch. It will be about a week before that's ready for its second fermentation and I quite fancy trying a mango one. I've made a very tasty fish pie for tea and will serve it with some buttery green beans. Tony's working a little later tonight so it will be a nice treat for him when he gets home. We both love fish pie but there must be about a billion calories in each portion. It doesn't help the waistline that we have taken to having a mince pie with squirty cream after tea every evening. Oh well, we need a layer of insulation to get us through the winter... And that's my excuse :-)

  1. Fish pie sounds nice, so maybe sharing the recipe with us or via email if possible. I can't watch you tube because of my lazy left eye, though DH watches lots of woodworking ones. I rely on books/magazines etc. Take care & stay safe.

  3. I'm glad that you and Tony are enjoying such delicious meals during this lockdown. It makes all the difference, psychologically. Your fish pie sounds delicious. Isn't it rewarding to eat home grown produce from the garden? You are making me want to plant raspberries. They grow well here, too.
