It's coming along nicely

But we'll get to that in a minute.

Last night there was absolutely nothing that interested us on TV.  At ten to nine I suggested we go for a walk... so we did.  It was dark and damp but the pools of leaves on the floor were like pools of light. It was quite beautiful and we walked for nearly an hour but hardly saw a soul. The weather was so mild that I took off my coat and scarf and ended up pushing up my sleeves... in November? It did us both the world of good and might be something we do more often.  I'm off out in ten minutes for my morning walk and I'm hoping my glass bottles arrive today so that I can bottle more Kombucha. There's a couple of bottles of pineapple kombucha and an elderberry one ready to go in the fridge.  I must take back what I said about the pear one though. I said it was nothing to write home about.  After a couple of days in the fridge it really was lovely. I plan on making more when this batch of tea has fermented.

My entrelac scarf is coming along really nicely and I am looking forward to the next colour change.  It's a variegated yarn with really long colour changes. Once I mastered the entrelac pattern it started to knit up much quicker. It;s very faffy but nice to work at.  I am planning on wrapping it for Beckah for Christmas.  She seems the sort of girl that would appreciate it.

  1. A late night walk sounds lovely, Cherie. Not something we could do here - no streetlights and with narrow country lanes with no pavements but ditches alongside the lane, we'd probably end up falling in a ditch! Or treading in horse poo...

  2. I made an entrelac jumper once upon a time. It was lovely and maybe I will make another one at some point.

    1. I wish I had the patience to knit jumpers. I won't make anything larger than a toddler as I get really bored knitting

  3. I took the fog out late last night and yes it was very mild but we had a fine drizzle. I was quite wet when I got home.

  4. It looks lovely, a wonderful gift made with love. Gerard and I stick to the daylight hours for a walk as there are so few pavements here.
