After a couple of really warm early morning walks it was decided chilly when I set off this morning. I was glad to get back home to my lovely warm house. Today is one of those 'I have no idea what I feel like doing' kind of days. I might kick myself into action and spend the day doing housework. Now and then it does me good to have a total clean through. I could have written War and Peace in the dust yesterday. The dust that had gathered on the shade on my craft lamp had me quite ashamed. It is coming in really useful at the moment and I love the light it gives off.
The pile for the charity shop is growing again as I work my way through the wardrobe pulling out things I just never wear. I have a few jumpers that just make me look like a sack of spuds. Nothing wrong with the jumpers at all but totally unflattering on me. They can go to someone who would look good in them. Heck, I have plenty more to keep me warm.
I can’t wear jumpers I just overheat, I had a car accident when I was younger and I cannot tell the deference between hot and cold, something to do with a brain injury I sustained. I try them. Then I just feel weird. Fleeces I’m ok with, but jumpers no. And there is no need for them, unless you live in the north like Sapporo .
ReplyDeleteBut I am with you on this one
I don't like to have my house too warm so like a nice snuggly jumper.
DeleteI must admit that I have a few jumpers like that but mine are so warm and comfy that I love just wearing them around the house. The dust around my house always gets worse at this time of year when the heat comes on (we have forced air heat - think it's an American thing lol).
ReplyDeleteI've seen spiders writing their last will and testament in the dust here.
DeleteI love a good thick cable kit for warmth, but they are definitely not flattering on me so I know what you mean. I have to have a bit of a V, or a cardigan not fully buttoned up or I just look stuffed in.
ReplyDeleteMost of my jumpers are soft fluffy ones and they make me look at least a size bigger.
DeleteAh! I have those days too (especially in this weird time of unease & strange weather) & generally kick-start myself with mundane housework. I'm way behind on blog commenting, so I'm making an effort this morning to not only read, but comment too. I do love jumpers to wear out & as I knit them myself, I usually get a good fit, but only wear fleeces about the house due to easier washing of them(giggle). I must do a good cleanout of my wardrobe as well. Take care, stay safe & huggles.
ReplyDeleteI haven't the patience to knit adult sized things but do love knitting socks
DeleteI love a good warm jumper to snuggle into.
