A stay home kind of day

That title made me smile because other than my early morning walk I stay home every day. I have never been one for wandering aimlessly around the shops trying on this and trying on that. I've always been able to find plenty to keep me busy at home. The one thing I miss is having my friends over for a cuppa and a catch up but in these strange time that is not going to happen any time soon. It looks as though we might be heading for a level three and that will put paid to my early morning walk with my friend. I've just got back home and the weather forecast for today is pretty grim. The fire's lit and the house is lovely and warm. I can't stand it too hot and keep it around 17 degrees which is plenty warm enough for me. In fact when I am busy 17 degrees is far too hot for me.... I'm definitely not high maintenance and very cheap to run.  :-)

  1. Just caught this post this morning & there are funny things I miss in all this mayhem, but the sort of "shopping" most people think of is not the one I miss. But.......I've missed browsing antique/vintage markets & plant nurseries. Luckily I've had access to most facilities here in our own town, except for a few lockdowns we've not been able to have a coffee inside a cafe & some here don't have outdoor seating. Oz had no new cases for one whole day, but not heard the numbers for Victoria this morning. Our mask wearing is mandatory here in Vic. & will be well into next year they say. We've always plenty to do here at home & mainly miss family, our car club jaunts, DH's woodwork mornings & just catching up with friends for a chat. Hopefully it will all ease one day & we can have some kind of normality in our lives (though different) heading into the future. Take care & stay safe.

  2. It will be nice when you can have your friends visit again. Your home looks so welcoming and cozy. I have been building a fire at night, too. My chicken is in her cage, indoors. She seems to appreciate the heat.
