Stunning scenery

Yesterday when Tony came in from work we had a quick cuppa and headed out for a run in the car. We'd agreed that I would pack up a picnic to eat over at Clay Bank.....

It's less than 15 minutes away in the car and has some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable. It's ideal for walkers and perfect for artists. Ilona (Mean Queen) I think you would love it when you are looking for somewhere different to visit. After our picnic we drove over to Helmsley and had a drive through some gorgeous scenery there before circling back round and coming home.

I was impressed with my will power when I packed the picnic... No stodgy sausage rolls and definitely no cake..  I was really surprised to see that my can of fizzy mango has half the calories of a can of coke. I cooked some rice and made Tony and I a rice salad with a little bit of cooked chicken. Tony also had a cheese salad  sandwich and a chocolate cookie. I did laugh though. I put two pieces of cheese into the box with Tony's sandwich. One piece each... he ate them both not realising that one was for me. Oh well, that meant I had even less calories.

That isn't a road with a little yellow car on it. It's a model car on our dashboard, Tony stuck it onto a sticky pad.
