Lunch with a friend update with fat me photo

The weather is absolutely gorgeous today so my friend and I had lunch and a good old catchup in my garden.  Tripta would have been in India visiting family right now if it hadn't been for the lockdown. Her daughter Priya who lives in New Zealand was planning to holiday there with her mum but everything was cancelled at the very last minute. Oh the jet setting lifestyle some of my friends have  :-)

Tuna, Jacket spuds and fairy cakes for lunch. 

And if ever I needed reason to lose a stone this photo proves it.  I am really starting to look porky and in desperate need of a haircut.

    Poor Tripta having to cancel her plans to visit india, it seems like they're really struggling with Covid at the moment, there was some really traumatic footage on the news at the weekend.
    You don't look porky at all, you look radiantly pretty and I'm loving the print on your dress. xxx

      I am carrying a stone more than this time last year. Oh to be able to fit in my 'last year' clothes.

    How disappointing for your dear friend to cancel a trip to see family, it must have been really hard. You have a beautiful smile Cherie and that is all that you see. Losing weight will come when we return to some normality.

      I think my round face always makes me feel chubby so as soon as I put any weight on I develop hamster cheeks

    You are far too hard on yourself! I see a radiant smile and friendly face. AND a far more slender body than I have. But I do remember the feeling of outgrowing my "slender" clothing. I wish I had worked harder on losing the weight when there was less to lose :) My hair is a sight and I've just had to cancel an appointment - couldn't get another for a whole month more ...

      I am hoping to get a haircut on two weeks time now as soon as the lockdown eases. I am starting to resemble a haystack

    Ha Ha on the weight and hair....me guesses that the world is with you, I know I am.

      I love working in the garden and try to plant for fragrance as much as possible. I once knew a girl called Nora and the boys in class very cruelly called her Ig... (Ignora) Kids can be very cruel
