| 730g of free cherries |
Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... Getting stoned this afternoon
Wait! What? You didn't think I meant???????? OOOh you are very very naughty. 😈😈😈😈 I have been out cherry picking the neighbourhood trees today, We have a week or two of picking fabulous fresh cherries all over the neighbourhood at this time of year. My friend and I go out and gather kilos of them. Todays bounty will be eaten this weekend but next week I plan to make some cherry infused brandy to put away for Christmas. Does anyone know whether Cherries make a nice flavoured gin?

ReplyDeleteNo, I don't, but I bet they do; I can't see that they wouldn't, can you? How lovely.
xx
Ah cherries which I adore. Have you a cherry stoner? Many moons ago (early 80's)we built a house in Batlow that already had a huge cherry tree & picked many, with the birds & possums finishing the ones too high up for us to reach. The excess I bottled or gave away. I make blueberry jam in my breadmaker, so I'm sure cherry would work too if you have one. I'm a teetotaler (is that spelled right), so wouldn't know about the gin, though I did at first read it as Cherie's nice flavoured gin (giggle) & thought you were asking if anyone had tried your gin......Enjoy the cherry season (especially the free part). BTW, I picked 18kgs of blueberries from our two bushes this season. Take care, stay safe & huggles.
