Start of a project

Tony and I own a couple of nests of tables. One of these sets was really starting to look shabby and for ages now I have wanted to sand it and freshen it up.  We started sanding them last night and my plan is to leave the table top natural wood and the rest of each table will be painted grey. I've never really liked the sludgy treacle colour that was originally chosen as a varnish.
After my early morning walk I sat in the garden and finished sanding them today. This evening Tony has made a start on painting one of the tables. It will need at least two coats and possibly three. I will share a photo in a couple of days

  1. They should look great & I keep thinking about our dining table with natural timber top and painting the legs white. Our DD in Scarborough has been busy with paintbrush too. Hers look great. Happy painting, take care, stay safe and huggles.

  2. My friend does small furniture renovations, she often has newspaper on the kitchen floor while sanding something down. She loves sanding and will stick at it for hours. I will only do quick jobs outdoors, sanding pallet wood down. I don't like sanding at all. Enjoy, I look forward to seeing the pictures.
